Application Process
State Treasurer Clint Zweifel’s office is committed to making the Missouri Linked Deposit Program process simple and the program easy to use for approved lending institutions and borrowers.
Treasurer Zweifel’s office has expanded to include a full-time Missouri Linked Deposit Program relationship manager to relay information and updates to lending institutions and help users fully understand the application process.
Treasurer Zweifel’s office is knowledgeable, willing and available to help lenders through each step of the application process to ensure an easy and efficient experience, which includes:
- The lending institution first approves the loan, applying its normal lending standards. Nearly one-third of lending institutions statewide are already successfully using the Missouri Linked Deposit Program with their customers. Click here for the list of Participating Lenders.
- The lending institution submits the completed application to Treasurer Zweifel’s office for approval. Lending institutions need to have sufficient collateral. Click here for the Acceptable Collateral Policy.
- Many loans can be approved within 10 business days.
- Applications for some loans, such as amounts over $250,000, need to be approved by the Missouri Linked Deposit Review Committee, which meets every two weeks.
- The staff can answer questions about additional loan requirements.
