Application Developer - Computer Information Technologist II
This position performs professional and technical work in computer systems analysis, design, and programming for the Office of the State Treasurer. An employee in this class is responsible for assisting in the analysis, design, and programming of limited complexity in a midrange/server and/or microcomputer environment using SSMS, RS, IS, AS, T-SQL Server, Visual Studio.NET, VS2005, VS2008, Source Safe, Sharepoint, Visual Basic and/or Microsoft Access or similar tools. The position will design, write, maintain, document and test computer programs of moderate complexity and clearly defined segments of more complex programs. Duties may include providing customer support or assistance with more complex work and/or troubleshooting basic software problems. Work is performed under general supervision.

SALARY: $37,296 - $45,000 DOQ per annum

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Considerable knowledge of the principles of computer programming and systems analysis, design, testing and documentation.
- Working knowledge of database management systems, specifically SQLServer.
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic, T-SQL or other language.
- Working knowledge of the general operating principles and capabilities of computer hardware and software.
- Some knowledge of computer security systems and procedures. Some knowledge of computer networking.
- Ability to prepare & interpret computer program documentation.
- Ability to analyze & prepare policies, procedures and operations, organize their component parts into system specifications, databases and/or programs and adapt them to an automated system.
- Understanding of Web technologies and State methodologies.
- Familiarity of ADA Compliance,
- SQL Reporting Services, and Exchange.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of professional and technical computer information technology systems experience such as computer programming, computer systems analysis and design, or closely related areas; and graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with at least fifteen (15) semester hours in computer science, computer information systems or closely related areas. - OR - Pertinent prior experience as a Computer Information Technologist I or Computer Information Technologist II under the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System.
